So, how do the adherents of climate change unscience treat the dissenters of anthropogenic global warming theory? Do they see the argument as that of two separate wings of climate science duking it out over the empirical evidence? Not a chance. They know that if empirical evidence ever becomes the dominant issue, that their side is doomed. Instead they attempt to shut down any discourse of argument and counterargument. They do this by insisting that their side is a “consensus”. This is supposed to discredit any opposition. (Of course, we have previously witnessed that the real consensus of climate change is a dataset consensus of global temperature consolidation.)

So, who is it today that really parallels the Inquisition of the sixteen hundreds who insisted that the consensus science of their day had conclusively established that the sun revolved around the earth? It was the Inquisition geocentrists of the Roman Church that insisted that they had the “consensus”. It was the Inquisition geocentrists who were the consensus-establishment of their day – running the universities, the governments and the religious orders, etc. It was the Inquisition geocentrists who demanded that their beliefs be taught without challenge. It was the Inquisition geocentrists who arrested the skeptic Galileo. But it was skeptics like Copernicus and Galileo who boldly stood up to the status quo of the Roman consensus-establishment.

The consensus science of that era promoted the agenda of the church – geocentrism was considered unchallengeable. Today, it is inquisition-adherents of climate change who are the consensus-establishment. Today, it is inquisition-envirotheists who refuse legitimate debate. Today, it is inquisition-envirotheists who demand that dissenters, who are derogatorily characterized as “deniers” (today’s equivalent of heretics that Copernicus and Galileo were labeled), should just shut up! Today, it is anthropogenic global warming theory that is considered unchallengeable. Today, it is inquisition-envirotheists who want dissenters’ credentials stripped from them. Today, it is inquisition-envirotheists that want dissenters arrested. Today, it is inquisition-envirotheists who want doubters treated as mentally ill (like Stalin did to his opponents). Today, it is inquisition-envirotheists who propose putting democracy and free market capitalism on hold to fight their phantom global warming (actually, they want to do away with both permanently).

There is no debating the empirical evidence of science here – just a religious zeal to persecute all heretics who are labeled “deniers”. These are the people of today’s inquisition behind the political/religious agenda of climate change. These are the people of today’s inquisition who oppose the introduction of empirical evidence into the debate. They deny the real dataset consensus of global temperature consolidation.
